Our Story

Born from a
disagreement

In 2016, a dermatologist walked out of a fluorescent clinic and into a candlelit mews house. Lumière is what happened next.

The first Lumière treatment room — linen, light and quiet

The Beginning

Dr. Elena Marchetti spent twelve years in dermatology watching the same paradox: patients received excellent medicine in rooms that made their shoulders rise. The science was sound; the experience was an affront. She became convinced that calm was not a luxury adjacent to treatment — it was part of the mechanism. A settled nervous system repairs. A braced one defends.

So she leased a small mews house in Marylebone, hired a sculptor of a facialist from Stockholm, and opened a clinic with one rule: nothing enters the building — no product, no protocol, no piece of music — unless it serves both the skin and the nervous system at once.

Ten years and fourteen thousand rituals later, the rule still holds.

What We Believe

01 — Honesty first

We will talk you out of treatments you don't need. Our consultation fee is redeemable because advice should never be a product.

02 — Calm is clinical

Warmth, dim light and unhurried hands are not decoration. Skin in a parasympathetic state repairs measurably better.

03 — Edit relentlessly

A short menu, mastered. A short shelf of ingredients, trusted. Discernment, like skin, improves with editing.
